New cooperation between airplus Maintenance and Q.C.M. Design

The Swiss Aerospace Cluster is glad that two of its members, airplus Maintenance GmbH and Q.C.M. Design GmbH, announce a cooperation during the Aero Expo 2019 in Friedrichshafen.

The cooperation will allow both companies to further expand the engineering capabilities and to offer competitive design solutions to maintenance organisations to aircraft owners and operators as well as aircraft manufacturers. airplus holds a Part 145, Part 21J, Part 21G, ADOA and CAMO approval.

Both companies have developed several STC’s on different small and large airplanes and rotorcraft. Capabilities range from interior refurbishment over avionics upgrades to structural projects.

Christian Schusser, Chief of Office Airworthiness with Q.C.M. Design GmbH is proud to become a partner company of airplus and is looking forward that his engineering team which is based in the QCM head-quarters in Berne, Switzerland and in Vienna, Austria can support the airplus team for large projects and vice versa. Additionally airplus will benefit from the QCM in-house burning laboratory for flammability testing solutions.

Established in 2011, Q.C.M. design gmbh, is an EASA-approved Design Organization which complements Q.C.M.’s already extensive capabilities in the field of general aviation. Q.C.M. design gmbh’s ambition is to fulfill your expectations in regards to creative and technical potential, as well as to the highest available safety and quality standards on the market. Q.C.M. design gmbh received its EASA Part 21J Design Organization Approval (EASA.21J.509) in May 2013, and we have been powering forward at full throttle since then. In almost six years since receiving our EASA Approval Certificate, Q.C.M. design gmbh has completed over 260 projects, thirteen of which are Supplemental Type Certificates (STC).
