Fixposition is on a mission to simplify autonomous navigation by increasing reliability and expanding availability of precise positioning. We develop deep sensor fusion of RTK GNSS, IMU, and Computer Vision to ensure high-reliability of centimeter-accurate positioning in all types of environments. This disruptive technology enables safer and more automated operation of industrial drones and ground robotic vehicles. Fixposition’s tech is trusted by several partners, such as Neolix, Yuneec, Huawei and Robsense, among others. The company was founded by two top-talent Pioneer Fellowships teams from ETH Zurich in Aug 2017, with a combined 10+ years GNSS and Computer Vision experience.
Fixposition was incubated by the European Space Agency (ESA) Business incubation center in Switzerland from 2017 to the end of 2018. In December 2019, Fixposition raised a 3.35MCHF seed round led by True Ventures, a top-tier Silicon Valley based Venture Capital fund, and welcomed the co-investor Daniel Ammann as Chairman. He is former VP, and co-founder of u-blox, a successful ETH spin-off and industrial leader in GNSS&Wireless modules.
Fixposition’s proprietary fusion engine combines computer vision, global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and inertial measurement unit (IMU) data to achieve high-accuracy positioning in any environment, even in GNSS-denied areas or vision-challenging situations. This significantly increases reliability and availability of accurate positioning.
