The European Office supports companies that are planning to expand to the USA or already located in Alabama, but also companies from Alabama that want to gain a foothold in Europe.
Over 300 aerospace companies from more than 30 different countries have chosen Alabama, including industry giants such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, GE Aviation, RUAG, Collins Aerospace and GKN Aerospace. Another of these giants is Airbus, which produces A320 Family passenger jets at its only U.S. manufacturing facility in Mobile, where it is also adding a second production line for A220 aircraft.
While major European corporations such as Mercedes, Airbus, Evonik, BASF and Siemens all have operations in Alabama, the state has also attracted a significant number of smaller European businesses, particularly specialty manufacturers. A total of 250 European companies have operations in Alabama.
