About Rotors22:

On February 7 and 8, 2022, the Swiss Aerospace Cluster invited the Swiss helicopter industry for the second time to a networking event. This time at Payerne Airport, with the support of the Canton of Vaud and swiss aeropole. After the Swiss Heli Day in Näfels (Glarus) in February 2020 with more than 200 participants, the event, which is run under a new name (ROTORS SWITZERLAND), will also welcome international exhibitors and participants every 2 years, and this time had invited guests from the clusters of Lombardy, Baden-Württemberg and the Lake Constance region. Besides the big helicopter manufacturers (such as AIRBUS, Bell, Kopter, Leonardo) and operators, representatives of drones and highly innovative VTOL solutions as well as their users and potential customers were present at #ROTORS22 (the social media hashtag). Right next to the Hangar & Airport area, the Swiss ANAVIA showed a live demo flight of the new HT-100, a very special event for a drone system of this size.

With a total of 54 exhibitors and 24 partners, as well as 29 conference speakers (including Christian Müller, the first Swiss and new president of the European Helicopter Association), numerous discussions on innovations, regulations and future topics were generated. As an Innosuisse-sponsored networking event as part of the Aerospace Innovation Days, SMEs, start-ups and researchers were also given access to exhibition space and presentations on the main stage. In the hangar of Speedwings, 3 helicopters were exhibited at once: Bell 407, Kopter AW09, AIRBUS Super Puma/Cougar (military version of the Swiss Air Force). Large national and international companies such as RUAG, Skyguide, HENSOLDT and the Tata Group, but also medium-sized companies such as Bucher Leichtbau, Scobamat, Berhalter and Aerolite presented their products and services to a professional audience. With over 280 participants from 150 companies, #ROTORS22 was sold out. The event, which was held under 2G+ conditions, was accompanied by a New Year’s event at the “Clin d’Ailes” aviation museum on the day before the main event, to which the Swiss Aerospace Cluster had invited its now more than 160 member companies as well as partners from the SWISS ASD, GAIN and DIAS associations.
