Composite Fact-Finding Mission: Aeronautics & Space
Madrid | 16–17 November 2026
Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) and the Swiss Business Hub Spain are organising a two-day business delegation to Madrid for Swiss companies active in composites and related technologies for the aeronautics and space industries. The mission follows the previous delegation to Toulouse and focuses specifically on composite technologies and their industrial applications.
Mission focus
The objective is to connect Swiss technology providers with key Spanish aerospace players, decision-makers and potential business partners. The programme combines:
- Access to Airbus and its aerospace ecosystem, including Airbus’ Centre of Excellence for Composite Aerostructures in Illescas.
- Pre-arranged B2B meetings with R&D, engineering, purchasing and supply-chain representatives.
- Opportunities for Swiss companies to pitch their technologies and solutions.
- Identification of new business and cooperation opportunities across the composite value chain.
- Exposure to both the aeronautics and space sectors, including visits to Airbus and the European Space Agency (ESA).
Programme highlights
16 November – Aeronautics: Visit to Airbus Illescas, presentation of the Spanish aeronautics ecosystem and Airbus capabilities, Swiss company pitches, networking lunch and dedicated B2B meetings with Spanish companies.
17 November – Space: Visit to ESA, followed by an Innovation Day – Aerospace Edition organised by the Embassy of Switzerland to Spain & Andorra, including a round table, Swiss company pitches and networking. The mission concludes with a visit to a space-sector company with composite expertise.
